社會運動疫情夾擊  《南華早報》首季收入挫半
據《彭博通訊社》報道,受累廣告商在社會運動及疫情夾擊下削減預算,阿里(09988.HK)旗下《南華早報》首季收入大跌約五成。
《南早》行政總裁劉可瑞接受訪問時稱,隨著疫情放緩,廣告銷售料最早在夏季中段開始復甦。該報4月曾宣布裁員、削減高管薪金及部分員工放無薪假,劉氏補充,現時沒有進一步類似計劃。
劉氏稱,《南早》正在新常態(new normal)下營運。疫情加快該報開拓新財源的途徑,包括對以往免費刊登的部分網上新聞收費。自2015年獲阿里收購以來,《南早》推出更多網上免費新聞。他表示,阿里從來沒平預編輯室決定,一向尊重編採自由。
