IATA料全球航空業年底總負債將達5,500億美元
國際航空運輸協會(IATA)預計,全球航空公司今年底止負債將按年增加1,200億美元,至5,500億美元。其中670億美元新債來自政府貨款(500億美元)、延後稅項(50億美元)及信貸保證(120億美元);520億美元來自商業機構,包括商業貸款(230億美元)、資本市場債務(180億美元)、新業務帶來債務(50億美元)及從現有信貸工具提款(60億美元)。
協會又指,各地政府總計承諾向航空公司提供1,230億美元援助,主要被用作薪金津貼、證券融資及稅務寬免,當中670億美元需要還款。協會認為有關緩助起關鍵作用,又指航空公司料在第二季消耗600億美元現金。協會亦指,由於逾半支援為新產生債務,使航空業財務狀況完全改變,航空公司償還貸款所需時間將較乘客需求復甦需時更長。
