特朗普质疑管理不善州份要求联邦支援
美国总统特朗普在社交平台Twitter发文,质疑为何美国纳税人及民众要拯救经营不善的州份,且有关州份由民主党员管理。美国共和党籍参议院领袖麦康奈尔早前表示,会支持州份寻求破产而非向联邦政府寻求资源应付财赤,又指共和党没有意愿透过向下一代借贷拯救州退休金。特朗普的留言没有提及麦康奈尔的看法。
同为民主党籍的纽约州州长科莫及密歇根州州长Gretchen Whitmer批评麦康奈尔言论。科莫批评麦康奈尔是基於州份由民主党管理而提出有关建议,形容想法丑陋。Whitmer亦指麦康奈尔的建议极度危险。
