汇控(00005.HK)续投资於中港市场 疫情不减长期增长潜力
面对中国爆发肺炎疫情,汇控(00005.HK)集团行政总裁祈耀年表示,仍将维持发展中国市场的策略,认为中国市场仍存在重大增长机遇,短期内或受疫情影响,惟不减其长期吸引力,短期内集团亦将全力确保员工安全及支援受影响的客户。
有报道指汇控计划於2022年前裁减3.5万人,祈耀年表示没有具体裁员计划,惟业务重组过程期间,裁员难以避免,部份市场反之有机会增加人手,集团亦会续投资本港及新加坡业务,同时伦敦及纽约亦续为集团重要市场。
至於集团计划於2022年前进行业务重组及削支计划,其中涉及业务出售,集团财务总监邵伟信重申,大部分重组及削支成本将於今明两年发生。至於集团目标有形股本回报率达到10%至12%,祈耀年仅指未来有多个对收入不利因素,包括低息环境,因此集团将透过削减开支及集中发展高回报地区,以达到有关目标。
