前波音员工将出席听证会 斥空难前已提出飞机存在问题
波音前员工将於周三在美国众议院听证会上作证,指证曾经在空难前已警告波音,737 Max客机生产出现问题。
波音737 Max客机自发生造成346人死亡的两宗空难後,目前仍在停飞,预计联邦航空管理局(FAA)最早不会在1月之前将飞机解禁。
负责飞行测试及评估的前波音高级营运经理Edward Pierson将在众议院运输及基础设施委员会上作证,根据委员会取得由Pierson在第一次坠机前写给波音的信件,当中提到「所有的内部警钟都响起来,这是人生中第一次,很遗憾地说我对於是否让将家人乘坐波音飞机感到很犹豫。」
Pierson代表律师Eric Havian在声明中指,Pierson是在第一次坠机发生前4个月已提出警告,但波音仍拒绝采取行动。同时Pierson还向FAA及国家运输安全委员会提出担忧,但同样不受重视。
