港府指明年经济前景充满不确定性
港府早前将今年全年经济预测下修至收缩1.3%。港府向立法会财经事务委员会提交文件,指香港面对非常不明朗的外围环境,预计明年经济前景将充满不确定性,并引述国际货币基金组织(IMF)和私营机构的分析指,明年香港经济增长预测介乎收缩0.7%至正增长1.7%。
政府指,若涉及暴力的示威活动持续,与消费及旅游相关行业的经营环境将会雪上加霜,进一步削弱外国投资者以及本港市民对香港的经济信心,增加私人消费和投资在明年的下行压力,其他行业亦会受到拖累,本地劳工市场面对更大压力,强调停止暴力活动对香港的社会民生和经济复苏至为重要。
另当局称,香港不少主要贸易夥伴的经济增长预期将会减慢,本港出口表现难免会受到影响,但如果中美短期内能达成首阶段贸易协议,取消部分关税,环球经济气氛相信会有改善。
在通胀方面,港府指,如果猪肉价格在短期内仍然上升,通胀在明年初继续略为高企。
