香港零售管理协会:若示威活动持续零售业难见曙光 冀大地产商减租
香港零售管理协会主席谢邱安仪在电话会议上表示,今年8月的零售业总销货价值按年下跌23%,主要是受到示威活动,以及去年8月份是正常的暑假旺季而基数较高所影响。她相信,由於基数因素消除,今年9月份的跌幅会比8月份收窄,但不代表零售商的生意好转。若示威活动持续,相信仍难看见曙光,随着社会运动的暴力升温,愈来愈多零售商需要关店,而关店率愈高时,生意额的跌幅会愈劲。
她又指,零售商在昨天(10月1日)约有三至八成店铺需要关门,甚至有零售商表示旗下店铺都要全线关门。至於有开店的零售商多仅开店半日,即使开店生意亦不多,只有平时的一至两成生意额。对於10月份的零售销售表现,她相信不会比8至9月好,仍需要留意这几天「黄金周」的情况。
她提到,租金成本是零售商最大的开支,乐见政府早前已将旗下物业的租金减半,为期六个月,但大多零售商都是私人业主及大型地产商的租户,尤其是铜锣湾、尖沙咀、沙田及元朗等地,以及港铁(00066.HK)旗下的商场大受示威活动影响。她形容若不减租的话「会迫死零售商」,或无可奈可要削减人手,而此情况是大家都不希望看到,将会对香港经济造成很大影响。另外,亦希望政府可以增加纾困方法,例如减免差饷及电费。
