本港8月認可機構存款微升0.2% 人幣存款增4.6%

香港金融管理局發表的統計數字顯示，2019年8月認可機構的存款總額較7月微升0.2%。其中港元存款減少1.6%，外幣存款總額則上升2.1%，主要原因是美元存款增加2.7%。香港人民幣存款增加4.6%，於8月底為6,441億元人民幣。跨境貿易結算的人民幣匯款總額於8月為4,973億元人民幣，而7月的數字為4,558億元人民幣。
8月港元存款減少，部分反映月內市場集資活動較7月減少。惟應注意存款變動受多項因素影響，包括利率走勢、市場集資活動多少、集資活動前後投資者對港元資金的配置等，因此存款總額按月出現波動屬正常現象。根據最新數據，港元存款於9月首三周輕微上升。
美元存款上升，主要是因為外匯基金的資金調撥安排，令外匯基金存放於認可機構的外幣存款有所增加。若撇除因而增加的相關存款，美元存款及外幣存款總額均微升0.2%，而存款總額則微跌0.7%。
8月貸款與墊款總額上升0.7%，其中在香港使用的貸款(包括貿易融資)與上月比較增加1.0%，在香港境外使用的貸款則微升0.1%。由於港元存款跌幅較港元貸款大，港元貸存比率由7月底的88.9%，上升至8月底的90.1%。
8月港元貨幣供應量M2及M3按月分別下跌1.5%及1.4%，與去年同期比較則分別上升1.8%及1.9%。港元貨幣供應量M2及M3下跌，主要是由於港元存款減少。8月經季節因素調整的港元貨幣供應量M1下跌3.1%，與去年同期比較下跌4.4%，部分反映投資相關活動。貨幣供應量總額M2及M3於8月分別微升0.1%及0.2%，與去年同期比較同告上升3.3%。撇除上文提及因外匯基金資金調撥安排而增加的相關存款後，貨幣供應量總額M2及M3微跌0.7%。
