本港8月认可机构存款微升0.2% 人币存款增4.6%

香港金融管理局发表的统计数字显示，2019年8月认可机构的存款总额较7月微升0.2%。其中港元存款减少1.6%，外币存款总额则上升2.1%，主要原因是美元存款增加2.7%。香港人民币存款增加4.6%，於8月底为6,441亿元人民币。跨境贸易结算的人民币汇款总额於8月为4,973亿元人民币，而7月的数字为4,558亿元人民币。
8月港元存款减少，部分反映月内市场集资活动较7月减少。惟应注意存款变动受多项因素影响，包括利率走势、市场集资活动多少、集资活动前後投资者对港元资金的配置等，因此存款总额按月出现波动属正常现象。根据最新数据，港元存款於9月首三周轻微上升。
美元存款上升，主要是因为外汇基金的资金调拨安排，令外汇基金存放於认可机构的外币存款有所增加。若撇除因而增加的相关存款，美元存款及外币存款总额均微升0.2%，而存款总额则微跌0.7%。
8月贷款与垫款总额上升0.7%，其中在香港使用的贷款(包括贸易融资)与上月比较增加1.0%，在香港境外使用的贷款则微升0.1%。由於港元存款跌幅较港元贷款大，港元贷存比率由7月底的88.9%，上升至8月底的90.1%。
8月港元货币供应量M2及M3按月分别下跌1.5%及1.4%，与去年同期比较则分别上升1.8%及1.9%。港元货币供应量M2及M3下跌，主要是由於港元存款减少。8月经季节因素调整的港元货币供应量M1下跌3.1%，与去年同期比较下跌4.4%，部分反映投资相关活动。货币供应量总额M2及M3於8月分别微升0.1%及0.2%，与去年同期比较同告上升3.3%。撇除上文提及因外汇基金资金调拨安排而增加的相关存款後，货币供应量总额M2及M3微跌0.7%。
