数字王国(00547.HK)中期净亏损收窄28% 两部作品获奥斯卡"最佳视觉效果"提名
格隆汇8月31日丨数字王国(00547.HK)公布，截至2019年6月30日止6个月，集团实现收入2.84亿港元，同比下降17%；毛利5659.7万港元，同比增长38%；公司持有人应占亏损1.62亿港元，同比收窄28%；基本及摊薄每股亏损0.556港仙。
回顾期间的亏损主要是由于：(i) 确认非现金流出开支，包括：(a) 于2014年至2019年间授出的购股权的以股本结算以股份支付的款项为476.8万港元(2018年：249.5万港元)；(b) 收购3Glasses集团的摊销及折旧开支为2645.3万港元(2018年：811.6万港元)；(c) 投资电视剧系列(归入“参股权”)的摊销开支为2025.6万港元(2018年：2025.6万港元)；(d) 其他摊销及折旧开支(除上述两项外)为4241.9万港元(2018年：4400.7万港元)；及(ii) 来自媒体娱乐分部的营运亏损。
媒体娱乐分部：于回顾期间，此分部录得收入约2.84亿港元(2018年：3.40亿港元)。此分部的收入占集团于回顾期间的收入约99%。此分部录得亏损约1.10亿港元(2018年：1.31亿港元)。亏损包括于回顾期间就虚拟人技术所录得的研究及开发成本。就(i)物业、厂房及设备折旧及(ii)无形资产摊销作出调整后的经调整分部亏损(未计利息开支及税项)为5940.1万港元(2018年：8264万港元)。
数字王国凭《复仇者联盟3：无限之战》中魁隆一角荣获美国视觉特效协会奖的“杰出动画角色－照相写实片奖”，另一间获奖机构为Weta Digital。虚拟人部门主管Darren HENDLER先生及动画监督Phil CRAMER先生为获奖者。
此外，于2019年2月24四日举行的奥斯卡金像奖中，数字王国于最佳视觉效果类别中荣获多项提名，包括： 视觉特效监督Matthew E. BUTLER先生凭《挑战者1号》获得提名；及视觉特效监督Kelly PORT先生凭《复仇者联盟3：无限之战》获得提名。
