城巴新巴申請加價12%料五成過海路線加幅低於2元

城巴及新巴宣布已向運輸署申請加價12%,預計八成非過海路線的加幅低於1元,五成過海路線加幅低於2元。

城巴及新巴於2017年8月申請加價12%,惟最終於今年1月才獲准加價9.9%,期內油價及車長工資等成本升幅遠超預期,故加價後這兩個專營權之財務狀況仍然嚴峻。公告指員工薪酬開支佔其營運開支約一半,現時新入職車長月薪已由2017年時約1.95萬元升至2019年的2.435萬元,兩年間上升了24.9%。

公告續指,新巴城巴於今年2月底前已全面落實運輸署之《巴士車長駕駛、休息及用膳時間指引》修訂,由於新指引限制了車長的工作時間,兩巴需要聘請額外車長及增加休息設施,令成本進一步上升。另外公司亦有大量投放資源更新車隊、提供實時抵站資訊、改善候車環境及引進行車安全系統。

公司表示明白加價加價對市民大眾的影響,惟面對工資及油價等營運成本持續上升,新鐵路開通令巴士的乘客量下跌,城巴及新巴需要再調整票價來改善財政狀況,以確保可持續營運及發展。是次提出申請調整票價12%,已慎重考慮公眾的負擔能力,期望可以盡快獲批准。
