How do I trade fractional shares?
After searching for the stock name or ticker, tap [Trade] in the lower right corner -- [Fractional Share Trading]. Fractional share buying supports two order placement methods: [by quantity/by amount].
Can US fractional shares be sold at market price?
Yes. Currently, US fractional shares support both market orders and limit orders.
Do US fractional shares support margin trading? Do they support short selling US fractional shares?
US fractional shares support margin purchases. When calculating the client's risk control status, holdings in the US fractional share account will be taken into consideration. US fractional shares do not support short selling.
What if the account balance is insufficient to cover the handling fee when selling fractional shares?
If the account balance is insufficient to pay the handling fee, after the trade is executed, the account will show a negative balance. The system will generate margin interest. Please replenish your funds promptly.
After buying stocks through fractional shares and reaching one full share, how do I transfer the stock to a US cash/margin account?
It cannot be transferred to a US stock account. It can only continue to be sold in the fractional share account.
Do fractional shares support transfer in or transfer out?
US fractional shares do not support stock transfer in or transfer out. They neither support transfer in from another broker nor transfer out from Profit to another broker. At the same time, clients also cannot transfer stocks between uSmart's US fractional share account and US stock account (cash account, margin account).
