Fund Subscription Process

What is Day T?

Refers to a valid business day for users to execute fund transactions through uSMART Securities, during which fund subscription and redemption requests are accepted within the designated cutoff time. Day T and its cutoff time vary across different funds.

If a fund sets 12:00 PM on Day T as the subscription/redemption cutoff time, the period from 12:01 PM on the previous business day (Day T-1) to 12:00 PM on the current business day (Day T) is considered Day T. (Note: Weekends and public holidays are not business days; please refer to the fund prospectus for details.) If a user submits a buy/sell request at or before 12:00 PM, it will be processed as a Day T request. Requests placed after 12:00 PM will be treated as requests for the following trading day (Day T+1).

Subscription Process

Subscription: Users navigate to the fund details page, click the "Subscribe" button, and enter the desired subscription amount.

First-Time Subscription: First-time subscribers must read and sign the Fund Distribution Services Agreement to enable fund trading permissions, then complete a risk assessment. If the assessment result meets the requirements of the selected fund, the user can proceed with the subscription. If the result does not match, uSMART Securities will display relevant risk warnings, and the user must independently evaluate the investment risks before choosing to proceed.

Subsequent Subscriptions: After ensuring sufficient funds in their securities account, users can select and subscribe to funds that meet their needs directly via the uSMART App.

Additional Purchases: Users who already hold a position in a fund can make top-up purchases directly on the fund details page.

Timeline: Under normal circumstances, when a user submits a subscription request on a trading day (Day T), the order request is confirmed on the same day, and fund units will arrive in the user's fund account on Day T+N. Cutoff times and the exact duration of "N" days vary by fund. Please refer to Fund Details -> Trading Rules for specific information.
