日本製鐵承諾將美國總部遷至美國鋼鐵(X.US)匹茲堡總部
日本製鐵(Nippon Steel)承諾將美國總部遷至目標收購公司美國鋼鐵(X.US)在匹茲堡的總部,但仍要視乎交易能否獲批。
日本製鐵以150億美元收購美國鋼鐵的建議在美國引起批評,美國總統拜登上周表示,有關的資產應保留為美國企業所持有。日本製鐵執行副總裁Takahiro Mori表示,集團不僅會保留匹茲堡總部,而且還計劃將日本製鐵現有的美國總部從侯斯頓遷至匹茲堡,而集團目前仍與美國鋼鐵保持接觸,並在就業保障及投資等方面作出一些具體承諾,重申不會裁員、關閉設施或將生產轉移到海外。
