徐英偉料徵收酒店房租稅對平價旅行團影響較大
新一份《財政預算案》建議自2025年起恢復徵收酒店房租稅,稅率為3%,預計每年政府收入將增加約11億元。香港酒店業主聯會執行總幹事徐英偉接受訪問時表示,香港旅遊業一向是以服務質素及體驗取勝,增收酒店房租稅每年可為庫房帶來的收入,與政府投放在推廣本港旅遊業開支相若,業界將關注推廣措施能否取得更好成效。
他又指,預期會徵收酒店房租稅對平價旅行團影響較大,但該稅種並非新鮮事,鄰近的澳門酒店有5%稅率,北美酒店稅率達6%至10%,相較其他國家及地區香港稅率不高,相信旅客會比較重視旅遊體驗是否物有所值。
