花旗集團與中華電力簽訂多年期可再生能源證書購買協議
花旗集團公布,與中華電力簽訂一份多年期協議,承諾於2027年前向中華電力購買多達1.06億千瓦特小時的本地可再生能源證書,為期六年。此舉令花旗集團成為首間全面採用中華電力提供的本地可再生能源的銀行,預計減少逾4.1萬噸的二氧化碳排放量。
花旗指,其與中華電力多年來在香港合作多個可持續發展項目,集團是中華電力「可再生能源證書」最大的買家之一。於2021年,集團在位於九龍東的花旗大樓天台安裝合共360塊太陽能發電板,而該可再生能源發電系統是接駁至中華電力電網。
