聯儲局加息半厘 明年底利率預期中值升至至5.1厘
美國聯儲局一如預期加息半厘,預計到明年底將至少再加息0.75厘。利率點陣圖顯示利率預期中值將升至5.1厘,高於此前的4.6厘水平。議息聲明提到,聯邦公開市場委員會高度關注通脹風險,認為繼續加息直至通脹降2%目標水平是合適的。
聯儲局主席鮑威爾表示,加息速度並不重要,目前面臨的最大問題是利率應升至甚麼水平以及應維持緊縮貨幣政策多久,目前難以明言最近利好的通脹數據表明價格壓力將見頂,強調任何有放寬貨幣政策的討論只有在委員認為通脹正在下降時才會進行。
聯儲局預計通脹至少在2025年底前仍高於2%的目標,到明年底仍將超過3%。而明年失業率中位數預測則從目前的3.7%上升到4.6%,經濟增長則僅為0.5%,2024年上升到1.6%,在2025年增長為1.8%
