01810.HK has announced a partnership with Microsoft China and Shanghai Human Welfare Foundation to jointly release the Chinese version of the inclusive Design principles Handbook to promote inclusive design concepts and promote the development of barrier-free technology.
The inclusive Design principles Manual is modelled on the Microsoft inclusive Design principles Manual, combined with Xiaomi's accessibility and inclusive design practices in smartphones and AIoT, as well as the accessibility promotion experience of the foundation, the first batch of 1000 developers will be empowered to implement and promote barrier-free design concepts. At the same time, the three parties will provide digital skills training for people with disabilities to expand employment opportunities.
Lin Shiwei, vice president and chief financial officer of Xiaomi Group, said that the Group has been actively fulfilling its corporate social responsibility, paying attention to and participating in supporting the cause of people with disabilities, and building more working platforms and opportunities. At the same time, its smart hardware products also attach great importance to the development and application of barrier-free features.
