據報東莞銀行申請在港設子行 進軍零售銀行市場
《信報》報道,去年首季獲香港金管局授予銀行牌照的東莞銀行,再向金管局申請在香港開立子行的牌照(本港註冊持牌銀行),進入本地零售銀行市場。
新公司將命名爲「莞銀國際」,出資約10億元,近來正積極招聘人手,準備爲批出牌照後開業。該報引述消息指,若審批順利,莞銀國際今年底前可獲授子行牌照。
資料顯示,目前除了大型國有商業銀行,及通過收購老牌本地銀行進軍本地零售市場的全國性股份制商業銀行之外,並無中資城商行在本港設子行持銀行牌照。
