“木頭姐”不願言敗：“給我們五年的時間”、“做空創新的想法荒謬的”
在週四CNBC的“Halftime Report”節目中，方舟投資公司創始人凱茜-伍德（Cathie Wood）“木頭姐”對她的基金過去一年的表現引發的批評做出了迴應。
受市場普遍拋售的影響，規模爲160億美元的Ark Innovation ETF在週四重挫7%，從而使其股價較去年1月的歷史高點下跌了50%以上，而今年以來則下跌了30%。
“木頭姐”稱自己基金的大幅下跌已經讓組合內的股票處於“非常低估值”狀態，並表示快速通脹最終會結束。通脹加劇了外界對美聯儲鷹派態度的擔憂，也讓投資者遠離科技股。
“木頭姐”在談到最近的虧損時說：“給我們五年的時間。”她還補充道，自己“最大的擔憂”是投資者在經濟低迷時套現，“把我們認爲是暫時的損失變成永久性的損失。”
另外，“木頭姐”也特別對Short Innovation ETF的推出做出了迴應。該ETF由塔特爾資本管理公司（Tuttle Capital Management）創建，是一隻專門針對“木頭姐”的旗艦基金方舟創新ETF（ARKK）進行反向做空的基金，其交易代碼就是“SARK”，即“Short ARK”（做空方舟）的縮寫。自去年11月推出以來，SARK已飆升了55%，而同期“木頭姐”的ARKK下跌了42%。截至週三收盤，該基金的管理資產規模已從剛成立時的約500萬美元增至2.99億美元。
“木頭姐”週四表示：“他們（塔特爾資本）是在做空創新，在我看來，如果你問我，假以時日，這將不會成爲一項業務。而且他們也沒有做任何研究。他們只是在做空創新。如果他們做研究，並能向我們指出爲什麼我們（擁有）的東西不會參與到新的世界秩序中來，那麼我們可能會就此展開對話。但我認爲，在美國，做空創新的想法是荒謬的。”
對於“木頭姐”的這一批評，塔特爾資本管理公司CEO馬修-塔特爾迴應稱，提供一個做空方舟投資公司的創新策略的ETF並沒有問題，這只是給投資者的“一個工具”。塔特爾說：“SARK是一個工具，投資者可以用它來表達對市場、創新公司、當前不斷上升的利率環境的看跌觀點，如果他們願意，也可以用它來表達對（特定的）投資組合經理的看跌觀點。在市場上沒有選擇是不符合美國精神的。”
具有諷刺意味的是，在去年11月SARK推出時，“木頭姐”曾發表了與塔特爾類似的言論，她在一次採訪中表示：“這就是市場，對吧？我從不擔心有人做空方舟的標的股票，或者這隻新的ETF。”
