南非出現新冠變種引發市場恐慌，道指期貨亞洲曾跌逾880點或2.5%，港股今日下跌。恆指低開237點後跌幅擴大，曾跌677點低見24,062點，全日跌659點或2.67%，收24,080點；國指跌233點或2.65%，收8,576點；恆生科技指數跌206點或3.25%，收6,151點。大市全日成交總額1,297.91億元，滬、深港通南下交易分別淨流入20.87億及1.46億元人民幣。
旅遊及航空股份受壓，國泰(00293.HK)、國航(00753.HK)及東航(00670.HK)各跌3.1%至4.1%，中銀航空租賃(02588.HK)跌7.3%。銀娛(00027.HK)、金沙中國(01928.HK)、澳博(00880.HK)、永利澳門(01128.HK)及美高梅中國(02282.HK)跌6.5%至8%。新濠國際(00200.HK)及信德(00242.HK)各跌4.4%及3.9%，綜合類股太古A(00019.HK)跌5.2%，復星國際(00656.HK)跌3.9%。零售股莎莎(00178.HK)亦跌4.7%，新秀麗(01910.HK)跌10.9%。
科技股下跌，騰訊(00700.HK)跌3%報463.4元，阿裏巴巴(09988.HK)跌4.7%報129.1元，美團(03690.HK)跌3.9%報263.6元，小米(01810.HK)及京東(09618.HK)各跌2.7%及2.4%，快手(01024.HK)跌8%報90元。
美債孳息下滑，金融股向下，匯控(00005.HK)跌3.9%報44.35元，渣打(02888.HK)跌5%報45元，友邦(01299.HK)跌3.3%報84.6元。內險股中國平安(02318.HK)、太保(02601.HK)及國壽(02628.HK)各跌2.5%至3.3%。內銀股招行(03968.HK)及民行(01988.HK)各跌2.6%。此外，港交所(00388.HK)跌1.4%。
內房股午後跌幅擴大，合景泰富(01813.HK)及雅居樂(03383.HK)各跌7%及6.3%，富力(02777.HK)及世茂(00813.HK)各跌5.6%及5.1%。恆大系恆大(03333.HK)及恆大物業(06666.HK)各跌10.4%及7.9%，恆大汽車(00708.HK)跌5.4%。
內需股走弱，維他奶(00345.HK)、海底撈(06862.HK)、呷哺呷哺(00520.HK)及九毛九(09922.HK)各跌5.1%至6.9%。中國飛鶴(06186.HK)及高鑫零售(06808.HK)各跌8.8%及9.3%，京東物流(02618.HK)跌4.2%。
能源及資源股亦向下，中石化(00386.HK)及中石油(00857.HK)各跌3%及3.4%，兗煤(01171.HK)跌3.7%。
