元宇宙太火！耐克也要參一腳，或將很快銷售虛擬服飾、鞋子等商品
也許過不了多久，耐克就能依靠出售「不能實際穿的運動鞋」從數字世界中取得不菲的營收。
消息指出，耐克正在悄悄爲進軍元宇宙做準備。
據美國專利商標局的透露，耐克公司於10月27日提交了「Nike」、「Just Do It」和其標誌性的Logo等商標的申請，隨後又提交了兩份關於「Air Jordan」和「Jumpman」標誌的申請文件，總共提交了七份不同的申請。
引發關注的原因是公司在商標用途描述中明確表示，該商標用於可下載虛擬物品，包括具有電腦編程特性的運動鞋、衣服、頭飾、運動揹包等產品，供用戶在網上或虛擬網絡世界使用。
商標律師Josh Gerben表示：「耐克正在爲這個新時代保護他們的商標。」
耐克公司沒有立即迴應關於其未來計劃的評論請求。然而，熟悉其戰略的人士稱，進軍元宇宙是耐克品牌的優先事項，消費者可以期待在未來幾個月看到更多虛擬產品的推出。除了商標申請之外，耐克還在尋求在這個領域的人才，該公司最近發佈了鞋類虛擬材料設計師和其他虛擬設計的職位招聘廣告。
Gerben指出，這顯然是對元宇宙概念的認可。耐克正在爲其主要商標提交新的申請，並表示將在網絡和虛擬世界中推出並開始銷售虛擬服裝、頭飾、鞋子。根據Gerben的說法，新商標還爲耐克提供了額外的保護，以防其他人試圖以未經許可的方式使用其品牌。
Gerben還表示：「如果你想在那個世界裏保護你的商標，你先給虛擬商品進行商標註冊，那保護起來將會更容易。商標申請也將爲整個品牌組合增加價值，因爲商標是一種財產形式。」
他補充稱：「你可以想象，如果你要憑藉耐克的名字或標識所擁有的價值來進行相關銷售活動，那麼你對商標建立的保護越多，你爲公司的賬面價值增加的價值就越多。」
這不是耐克品牌第一次進入虛擬世界。2019年5月，喬丹品牌與《堡壘之夜》合作，其中的角色就穿着耐克品牌的運動鞋。耐克還與在線遊戲平臺Roblox(RBLX.US)進行了幾次合作。耐克仍在等待2019年4月提交的「Cryptokicks」專利，並計劃將其作爲一種非同質化代幣。
在耐克爲虛擬世界做準備的同時，該公司最近在現實世界受到了供應鏈問題的影響。在9月23日的最新財報中，公司降低了其2022財年的展望，以考慮更長的運輸時間、勞動力短缺和其在越南的長期生產停頓所帶來的影響。
