美財長將促多邊國際銀行推動氣候變化投資
美國財長耶倫表示,將指令主要多邊國際銀行設定更具野心的氣候目標,設定時間表,支持巴黎氣候協定減少碳排放。她指世界銀行須鼓勵更多在氣候問題上的私人投資。美國爲世界銀行及美洲開發銀行的控股股東,亦爲亞開行及非洲發展銀行的主要股東。
另外,擔任金融穩定委員會主席的美聯儲副主席誇爾斯(Randal Quarles)表示,全球金融監管機構須聯合應對氣候相關金融風險,發展氣候相關風險的完整及可比較數據,包括極端氣候事件對商界、銀行及家庭資產負債表的危險。他亦稱正與各國央行協調金融指標以用作情景分析。
