史美伦:LME今年将推4新合约 拟夏季推出LMEpassport
港交所(00388.HK)主席史美伦於伦敦商品交易所(LME)亚洲金属研讨会上表示,新型肺炎对环球经济造成挑战,在市场波动下,商品市场交易更为重要。她指疫情後的复苏之路不会一帆风顺,亦为商品市场带来新趋势,其中一项是中国在疫情後带领全球经济增长,为当地商品市场带来较多机遇,港交所作为连接中国及国际的中间人亦将大有作为。
她表示,迈进今年下半年,港交所商品业务仍然强劲,收购LME後亚洲市场参与者增加,而港交所早年成立的前海商品交易所(QME)亦可为港交所寻求跨境商品市场机遇,并发展融资及仓储等业务。她指LME及QME将继续支持港交所的商品发展策略。
查史美伦并透露,LME今年将推出4种新合约,包括电动车电池相关的锂金属合约,并计划於夏季推出让业界就可持续性标准向市场作自愿披露的平台「LMEpassport」。
