遠大醫藥(00512.HK)獲得全球首創副流感新藥全球開發及商業化權益
格隆匯11月18日丨遠大醫藥(00512.HK)公佈，集團近日與澳洲格里菲斯大學(Griffith University)("格里菲斯大學")簽署獨家授權以及合作開發協定，據此集團將獲得格里菲斯大學糖組學研究所(Institution for Glycomics，Griffith University)開發的全球首創治療副流感的產品及相關技術的全球開發及商業化權益。
根據獨家授權開發協定的約定，格里菲斯大學將負責副流感新藥的進一步篩選優化工作，集團將在澳洲成立研發中心，負責項目後續的臨牀開發及上市後的商業化運作。集團將根據開發進度及銷售情況分階段向格里菲斯大學支付首付款及里程碑款項，並根據副流感新藥的銷售金額支付若干比例的權利金。獨家授權開發協定自簽約日起生效，至第一次商業銷售後的第八週年或主要專利權的最後有效申索期滿或失效為止(以較遲者為準)。
副流感新藥是由格里菲斯大學糖組學研究所所長MarkvonItzstein教授為核心的科學團隊進行開發，vonItzstein教授是澳洲科學院院士及澳洲健康與醫學科學院院士，他在糖組學、藥物化學和藥物發現方面，尤其是在抗感染藥物發現領域具有重要的國際地位，也是全球第一個基於結構設計的抗流感藥物紮那米韋的發明者之一。
副流感病毒(HPIV)是常見的社區獲得性呼吸道感染病原，嚴重感染者主要發生在兒童、老年人及免疫功能不全人羣，如造血幹細胞移植、血液惡性腫瘤和器官移植患者中，具有一定的致死率。有統計資料顯示，因下呼吸道感染住院的兒童中，HPIV是僅次於呼吸道合胞病毒(RSV)的第二大病原，HPIV感染佔兒童病毒感染所致下呼吸道疾病(如細支氣管炎、肺炎)的約20%-40%。目前全球尚未存在治療HPIV感染的藥物獲批上市，屬於未被滿足的臨牀需求。副流感新藥是一款小分子化合物結構的全球首創新藥，作用機理非常明確，通過與副流感病毒包膜的血凝素-神經氨酶(HN)蛋白的結合，阻斷病毒進入宿主細胞進行復制，抑制已感染的細胞中子代病毒的釋放，減少副流感病毒的數量，從而起到治癒副流感的效果。
目前副流感新藥已經在全球多個國家及地區申請專利並已取得部分區域的批准。根據獨家授權開發協定約定，集團將獲得副流感新藥的全球開發及商業化權益。為達致副流感新藥的全球開發之目的，同時也為了承接後續澳洲其他潛在合作項目，集團以副流感新藥項目為契機，將在澳洲成立研發中心，進一步加強國際化佈局以及提高集團的研發創新能力。
此次與格里菲斯大學的合作，不僅為集團耳鼻喉及眼科產品板塊引進了首個全球創新研發產品，進一步豐富了集團在呼吸及五官科領域的產品儲備，也是與格里菲斯大學糖組學研究所建立長期合作，逐步轉化其科研成果的重要開端，將有助於雙方達成進一步的戰略性合作，並藉格里菲斯大學糖組學研究所紮實的基礎研究能力，不斷豐富集團的創新管線。
