中共中央總書記、國家主席、中央軍委主席習近平近日對中醫藥工作作出重要指示指出，中醫藥學包含着中華民族幾千年的健康養生理念及其實踐經驗，是中華文明的一個瑰寶，凝聚着中國人民和中華民族的博大智慧。新中國成立以來，我國中醫藥事業取得顯著成就，為增進人民健康作出了重要貢獻。
習近平強調，要遵循中醫藥發展規律，傳承精華，守正創新，加快推進中醫藥現代化、產業化，堅持中西醫並重，推動中醫藥和西醫藥相互補充、協調發展，推動中醫藥事業和產業高質量發展，推動中醫藥走向世界，充分發揮中醫藥防病治病的獨特優勢和作用，為建設健康中國、實現中華民族偉大復興的中國夢貢獻力量。
中共中央政治局常委、國務院總理李克強作出批示指出，中醫藥學是中華民族的偉大創造。在推進建設健康中國的進程中，要堅持以習近平新時代中國特色社會主義思想為指導，深入貫徹黨中央、國務院決策部署，大力推動中醫藥人才培養、科技創新和藥品研發，充分發揮中醫藥在疾病預防、治療、康復中的獨特優勢，堅持中西醫並重，推動中醫藥在傳承創新中高質量發展，讓這一中華文明瑰寶煥發新的光彩，為增進人民健康福祉作出新貢獻！
全國中醫藥大會25日在北京召開。會上傳達學習了習近平重要指示和李克強批示。中共中央政治局委員、國務院副總理孫春蘭出席會議並講話。她表示，要深入貫徹習近平總書記關於中醫藥的重要指示，認真落實李克強總理批示要求，遵循中醫藥發展規律，堅定文化自信，深化改革創新，紮實推動《關於促進中醫藥傳承創新發展的意見》落地見效，走符合中醫藥特點的發展路子。完善服務體系，鼓勵社會力量辦中醫診所等醫療機構，改革院校和師承教育，提升臨牀診療水平。挖掘民間方藥，建設道地藥材基地，強化質量監管。深化醫保、價格、審批等改革，促進科技創新和開放交流，推動中醫藥高質量發展。
會議對全國中醫藥傑出貢獻獎獲獎者進行了表彰。上海市、廣東省、甘肅省、教育部、科技部、國家藥監局負責同志在會上作交流發言。
有關部門負責同志，各省區市和計劃單列市、新疆生產建設兵團有關負責同志，全國中醫藥傑出貢獻獎獲獎者等參加會議。
