據報有亞洲家辦跳過中間商直接參與黃金買賣業務
《彭博》報道,有亞洲家族辦公室正跳過中間商,直接參與黃金業務,不僅買賣金條,更參與融資、運輸和倒賣實物黃金。例如Cavendish Investment Corp.,一間由香港珠寶公司前主席營運的多家族辦公室,今年其約三分之一的投資組合投入了實物黃金交易。Cavendish管理合夥人Jean-Sebastien Jacquetin未有透露管理資產規模及具體交易金額,但他認爲有約一年時間可把握是次機會。
另外,貴金屬經銷商J. Rotbart & Co.和Goldstrom等亞洲超富家族亦開展交易。J. Rotbart & Co.創始人兼管理合夥人Joshua Rotbart指,亞洲家族比起西方家族對黃金的理解更深入,因爲黃金長遠以來已是其文化的一部分,他們知道需要把黃金投資當成一門生意。
