陳翊庭:做好資本市場角色 歡迎穩定幣在港交所上市
港交所行政總裁陳翊庭出席一個活動時表示,本港仍有不少短板,包括資本市場仍以股票為主,固定收益及大宗商品仍需進一步發力。她指,投資者只要有好的投資機遇,就會找辦法投資,交易所面對當前環境複雜,要不忘初心,做好資本市場角色,連接機遇和資本。
陳翊庭提到,穩定幣被視為一種支付工具,與綁定現實世界資產有關,形容穩定幣發行商與銀行角色相若,從聯交所角度,可以探討以穩定幣作股票或證券市場的支款方式。如果穩定幣發行商從事合法業務及有上市需求,她歡迎在港交所上市。
她又表示,現已公布互聯互通機制下一步將開通房地產信託基金(REITs),內地南下資金預計日後可投資在香港上市的REITs,外國資金亦可投資在內地上市的REITs,相信前景不錯,因有實在需求。
