經季節調整,加拿大10月服務業商業活動指數報46.6,低於9月47.8,顯示商業活動收縮幅度為2022年8月以來最大。
然而,企業仍然僱用了更多員工,部分原因是持續努力招募難以找到的合格且有經驗的工人。成本壓力仍居高不下。這在一定程度上反映出需要向工人支付更高的工資,以幫助支付生活費用並確保他們留住。服務提供者隨後提高了自己的收費,儘管收費仍低於上半年的水平。
