史美倫:LME今年將推4新合約 擬夏季推出LMEpassport
港交所(00388.HK)主席史美倫於倫敦商品交易所(LME)亞洲金屬研討會上表示,新型肺炎對環球經濟造成挑戰,在市場波動下,商品市場交易更為重要。她指疫情後的復甦之路不會一帆風順,亦為商品市場帶來新趨勢,其中一項是中國在疫情後帶領全球經濟增長,為當地商品市場帶來較多機遇,港交所作為連接中國及國際的中間人亦將大有作為。
她表示,邁進今年下半年,港交所商品業務仍然強勁,收購LME後亞洲市場參與者增加,而港交所早年成立的前海商品交易所(QME)亦可為港交所尋求跨境商品市場機遇,並發展融資及倉儲等業務。她指LME及QME將繼續支持港交所的商品發展策略。
查史美倫並透露,LME今年將推出4種新合約,包括電動車電池相關的鋰金屬合約,並計劃於夏季推出讓業界就可持續性標準向市場作自願披露的平台「LMEpassport」。
