開拓藥業(09939.HK)公佈中期業績：多個在研藥物已取得開始臨牀試驗批准
格隆匯 8 月 21日丨開拓藥業(09939.HK)公佈中期業績，公司目前並無批准進行商業銷售的藥物，亦無自藥物銷售產生任何收益。自成立起未錄得盈利，且每年均錄得經營虧損。截至2019年及2020年止六個月，我們的虧損及全面虧損總額分別為人民幣9850萬元及人民幣1.954億元。公司於上述期間的經調整虧損及全面虧損總額經加回上市開支及僱員激勵計劃項下以股份為基礎的薪酬開支後分別為人民幣9550萬元及人民幣1.637億元。公司絕大部分的經營虧損均來自研發成本及行政開支。
其他收入主要包括銀行存款利息收入及政府補助。其他收入由截至2019年6月30日止六個月的人民幣410萬元增加人民幣40萬元或10.7%至截至2020年6月30日止六個月的人民幣450萬元，主要是由於報告期間的銀行存款增加導致銀行存款利息收入增加人民幣180萬元，部分被(i)主要因政府補助於有關成本產生及標準滿足時確認而致使與研發活動有關的政府補助減少人民幣80萬元及(ii)因金融資產購買協議已於2019年4月結束，故按攤餘成本計量的金融資產的利息收入減少人民幣60萬元所抵銷。
截至2019年及2020年6月30日止六個月，公司的研發開支分別約為人民幣8940萬元及人民幣1.484億元。研發成本的增加主要是由於推進(i)在中國進行普克魯胺單藥及與阿比特龍聯合用藥治療mCRPC的III期臨牀試驗；(ii)在美國進行福瑞他恩的Ib期臨牀試驗；(iii)在台灣進行ALK-1的II期臨牀試驗；及(iv)僱用更多的研發員工以支持我們發現及開發創新藥物不斷增長的需求。
公告稱，公司正在為位於中國、美國、巴西及台灣的在研藥物進行多中心臨牀試驗。公司已採取多種措施來減輕COVID-19疫情對公司進行中的臨牀試驗所造成的影響，該等措施包括：藉助快遞為已招募患者提供所研究的藥物，及在已招募患者通常到訪的醫療中心無法提供服務時為彼等安排至其他醫療中心進行檢查。就公司核心產品的開發及商業化而言，公司部分進行中試驗的新患者招募略有推遲。於截至2020年6月30日止六個月，公司並未且預計不會嚴重偏離公司的藥物開發、生產及商業化計劃，而公司核心產品的預期開發進度已計及因COVID-19疫情導致公司進行中的臨牀試驗的暫時推遲及中斷。
截至2020年6月30日，公司已開發出五種在研藥物，已在中國、美國、巴西及╱或中國台灣取得開始臨牀試驗批准。該等臨牀階段在研藥物包括一種III期小分子在研藥物、一種II期小分子在研藥物、一種II期單克隆抗體在研藥物、一種I期mTOR抑制劑在研藥物及一種hedgehog信號轉導途徑抑制劑(公司已於2020年2月獲得IND批准)。
