Facebook涉避税90亿美元与美国税局打官司
Facebook被指将海外利润转到税率较低国家的做法,被美国国家税务局(IRS)告上法庭,或涉及90亿美元税款。
IRS认为,Facebook应该有更多的利润计入美国的企业税中,而不是将利润转移到旗下的爱尔兰子公司。目前美国跨国公司经常将海外利润转移到较低税率的国家,美国及欧洲当局都指责这些企业藉此进行避税。
有法学教授表示,今次案件备受关注,将为同类型案件定下先例,预计法院将下令Facebook缴交额外税款,但金额不及IRS所要求的水平。
