旅發局:去年初步訪港旅客逾5,590萬人 按年跌14.2%
旅發局公布,2019年初步訪港旅客數字逾5,590萬人次,其中上半年訪港旅客錄得13.9%的增長,但受社會事件影響,旅客數字自7月起下跌,下半年整體訪港旅客錄得39.1%的跌幅,令全年旅客數字按年下跌14.2%。
期內,各客源市場的全年訪港旅客均出現下跌,其中內地及短途市場分別下跌14.2%及18.7%,長途及新市場則下跌12.7%至13.5%。去年整體訪港過夜旅客亦下跌18.8%至2,376萬人次。
旅發局主席彭耀佳表示,雖然過去一年面對極大挑戰,但相信香港能面對逆境,旅發局已在印度、印尼、菲律賓、南韓及泰國等多個短途市場宣傳,並準備將宣傳推展至其他市場,如日本及長途市場等;同時正積極籌備於全球多個客源巿場展開大規模的宣傳推廣,重建香港旅遊形象。
