Instructions on Subscription/Redemption Time
Example Scenario
For instance, if the cutoff time for Fund A is 12:00 PM on Day T, subscription requests submitted before 12:00 PM will be sent to the fund company on Day T, and subscribed units will be calculated based on Day T’s Net Asset Value (NAV):
Calculation Formula:
Subscribed Units = Net Subscription Amount / Day T Fund NAV
(Note: Decimal precision and rounding rules vary across funds.)
The fund settlement day is Day T+N (referring to the N-th business day after Day T, excluding Day T). Once the fund settlement process is completed, users can view their subscribed units and accumulated returns (calculated starting from Day T).
Redemption Process
The redemption process operates similarly. For redemption orders submitted before the cutoff time on Day T, the redemption amount is calculated based on Day T’s Fund NAV:
Calculation Formula:
Redemption Amount = Units Sold × Day T Fund NAV
Proceeds will be deposited into the user's securities account on settlement day (Day T+N).
Why does it take T+N days to view units and returns on our platform?
This processing timeline is determined by the settlement rules of the underlying overseas markets in which these funds invest. For comparison, public funds issued in the Mainland A-share market typically have an N-value of 2 business days. However, the international funds offered on our platform primarily invest in global markets, where N generally ranges between 3 to 5 business days.
Regarding Returns
All fund subscriptions and redemptions are priced and confirmed based on the Fund NAV on Day T, with final holdings and returns updated following settlement on Day T+N. Because valuation is tied directly to Day T's NAV, the settlement processing window does not impact the actual returns you are entitled to earn; it simply represents the time required to complete the underlying financial clearing and settlement.
